A Level Business gives you insight into the modern business world, helping you understand the role of businesses in society and how they respond to challenges in a competitive global environment. Explore how organisations work, how decisions are made and why some businesses succeed while others fail.

Via a combination of practical examples and analytical tasks, you will gain knowledge and transferable skills for future study or employment. A Level Business Studies covers key business concepts exploring areas including business strategy, marketing, human resources, operations and supply chains, finance and accounting and the external environment.

You will apply theories and models to real-world case studies, learning to evaluate strategies and make informed recommendations. The course will equip you with transferable skills such as critical thinking, numerical and data application, communication skills – both written and presentational, creativity and the ability to assess risk.

Grade 9-5 in GCSE Maths.

What next?

Universities highly value A Level Business Studies as it demonstrates analytical ability and an understanding of the world of work. Students go on to study Business, Economics, Law, Accounting, Marketing or Management at degree level. It also provides a strong foundation for careers in finance, human resources, entrepreneurship, consultancy and beyond.
