A Level Business Studies is about understanding how businesses start and how they succeed by adapting to an ever-changing world.

You will gain strong business understanding by studying topics including Business Objectives and Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Global Business, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations Management. You will also look at how and why a business is set up and how external variables influence success.

You will be introduced to business operations and look in-depth at the various functional areas needed for a business to succeed. Theory will be related to real life and case study scenarios.

This course may involve a mix of assignments and examinations, and there will be an increased push towards exams as the preferred form of assessment. This A Level can lead to multiple management level roles in a variety of contexts.

What do I need?

Grade 9-5 in GCSE Maths.

What next?

Students can pursue business-related degrees, such as business management, business and finance, logistics and supply chain management, events, management and enterprise.

This course can also provide a useful foundation to pursue entrepreneur-related careers and interests including setting up your own business.
