It’s been a real privilege to welcome our first students through the doors of Pudsey Sixth Form College. There’s something incredibly special about being part of a college’s early days – seeing our community grow, our spaces come to life, and our students begin to shape the identity of Pudsey from the very start.

Our carefully curated subject offering – from traditional A Levels to T Level and hybrid pathways – ensures we prepare students for university, apprenticeships, or skilled careers.

With dedicated pastoral care and tailored support, we are creating a learning environment where every student can thrive.

I went to a tough school in Barnsley when I was younger. I was fortunate enough to have some excellent teachers that helped inspire me to become a teacher. A lot of my friends and kids from the school did not achieve much so I chose to go into education to help young people achieve the best they can achieve, no matter their background or academic ability.


My favourite thing about the sixth form is the community element, creating a space that is made for local young people and being part of the community. We look forward to being part of the community in Pudsey and will strive to support our students and their families to help provide the best experience we can at Pudsey Sixth Form College.

I’ve always worked in colleges, teaching both 16+ and adults English.
I remember my own time in college and the pride I felt in leaving at the end of the day with my friends who all loved learning. It’s this collegiate spirit that I want to carry on in our sixth form community in Pudsey. 

The college mindset is different to school, and you are building on a fantastic foundation that will reach a remarkable height at the end.
The teachers here will do everything to support and help you on your journey. Listen to them keenly and your studies will go well.
