The Pudsey Sixth Form College values are:

We build independence and resilience
We have a sense of belonging and are proud of our local community
We share a passion for teaching, learning and broadening horizons
We empower students to strive for excellence
We examine the world around us and question how we can improve it
We expect expertise from our tutors and curiosity from our students

Student Expectations

We believe that college is an important time to develop the skills that will serve you well as citizens of the world. We aim to foster an environment of reciprocity, where we treat our students as they treat others.

We model the following behaviours and attitudes towards our colleagues and students, and we ask that our students also exhibit them:

Respect
Conscientiousness
Thoughtfulness
Kindness
Curiosity
Resilience

Our vision

We believe that our job is to inspire success in each and every one of our students. Our aim is to build a space where students feel part of their community, where classrooms are designed to stimulate learning and social spaces to stimulate lively debate, with enrichment activities that prioritise social action, and an atmosphere that encourages social cohesion.

We are building a home for academic excellence in Pudsey that enhances and complements the current educational offering, and that will inspire students to grow and develop to their full potential. By encouraging students to become independent learners and thinkers, they will be equipped with all the tools they need to succeed in university and skilled employment.

We don’t just teach you now: we give you lessons that benefit
your everyday life year after year.
